2009-10-01	WHAT UP! What's up everyone? My job called me on the way to work this morning and asked me if i wanted the day off and that shit don't happen often so of course i turned my ass around and came home. So now i'm chillin on the couch with my guitar and my Rottweiler and i am just pondering. Looking back on the summer Mean Venus has had, and it has been GOOD!!! We have been through member changes, small gigs and national acts, and ticket sales, and who can do a show and who can't and blah blah blah, but in the end it's all worth it. There really is nothing better than playin in front of 1000 plus people. Then a few days later i'll get a text from J saying dude we got 3 newspaper articles this week or dude pick up this weeks steppin out magazine or bro turn on WZZO tonight we are being played. When i hear that shit thats what makes all this blood, sweat and an occasional tear all worth while. J has been working his ass off trying to get the Crazy Ass American cd done, and as you know he did . I must say i wasn't completely sold on some of the tunes when he was sending me rough mixes but when i heard the finished product i must say i was blown away. J did an awesome job. I have told him before and i'll say it again: "J is one talented Mother Fucker". We have become a pretty tight band over the last couple months and i think we have a well oiled machine. It's great to have Marcello back--that mother fucker can RIP on the guitar, of course you got Russ on the drums who i loved playin with in TRIMM, i'm so happy he came aboard and of course you have Chigger-- that obnoxious bastard on bass who is a complete madman. I already said what i have to say about J. ( One talented Mother Fucker ) So all and all it has been a good year for Mean Venus and the year is not over. So everyone please, i usually say check out the new cd but this time i will say please purchase the new cd Crazy Ass American on itunes. 2009-08-03	Last Night What great night we had at Crocodile Rock. If you read J's page he pretty much sums it all up. Just wanted to personally thank everybody starting from Jenn at Croc rock to the sound guys and of course all the friends, family, and new fans we made last night. Thanks for all your support and hopefully we will see you all soon at upcoming gigs. Can't forget the rest of the band, you guys rock!!! Kenny you da man!!! AHMV!!!
2009-07-12	Last Nite's Show Thanks for everyone coming out to the Stone Pony Saturday night and showing their support. I have to say it was a great night. The music was tight the energy on and off the stage was great and the fans were AWESOME!!! We got offered to Play with Stryper in September and i am sure that will be a great show also, so please keep checking the website for more details. Of course i have to give props to the whole band. J, Marc, Russ, and Chigger, you guys were great!! Remember August 2nd at the Crocodile Rock in Allentown P.A. we will be opening for RATT and EXTREME, YEAH!!!!!! Oh yeah one more shout out to our 6th member Kenny, you da man! AHMV!!!!! see ya soon.
2009-04-05	Last Night @ the Saint Just want to thank everyone for coming out to the Saint last night!!! It was the first gig with the new line-up and i think it was a success. From beginning to end we had good energy, and we sounded pretty damn tight. Met some really cool people and the crowd was very responsive, (in a good way). We broke out the new single Crazy Ass American and got great feedback. That was supposed to be our last tune of the night and then they asked for one more. I think we all looked like a deer in headlights but thank god we rehearsed the tune "can't let you in" and pulled it off to end the night. I am looking forward to the next show. As of now it is June 12th at the Crocodile Rock in Allentown P.A. with Black Water Rising. Hope everyone can make it and again thanks for your support and remember ALL HAIL MEAN VENUS!!!!!
2009-03-28	Great Jam Whats up everyone??? Another stellar jam last night. Everything is falling into place too EASY. I know everyone is SIKED to play The Saint next weekend. Please everyone try to make it out for this show, you wont be disappointed!! Don't forget to check ouy the new single Crazy Ass American. J has been breakin his balls on this new cd to make it sound awesome and from what i have heard it IS!! 2009-03-07	Friday Night Whats up everyone? Had another jam Friday night i think it went well. We are starting to get pretty tight and everyone is getting along good. My old friend and former band mate from TRIMM Pez came down and played drums. I think he did a good job. He did his homework and we got through the songs pretty easy. You can feel it in the room that everyone was havin a good time and really wanted to play. "J" was singing so hard i thought he was gonna pass out...it was hysterical. Randy and Kevin are so tight together you would think they have been playing together for 10 years. I am definitley looking forward to the next jam session. A few more weeks of practicing and there is no doubt in my mind Mean Venus will be a force to be reckoned with. Gigs are starting to roll in so be sure you check out the schedule page and come see Mean Venus live you won't be dissapointed. 2009-02-21	1st Blog Entry AHMV!!!! I had an Awesome jam for the first time last week with the boys from MEAN VENUS. I have to admit i was not sure what i was walking into, but after a couple hours i knew this was for me. I have been in other bands and played shows with MEAN VENUS before and i was always a fan of the music, but after learning the tunes and meeting the guys, i said to myself, "This is gonna work"! So "J" asked if was gonna stay and i had no doubt in my mind that MEAN VENUS and myself could have something special. I am SIKED to get this train rollin'. Everyone keep your eyes and ears open because very soon MEAN VENUS will take the world by storm and there is nothing you can do about it. I know "J" just finished recording the follw up cd to PCP which is called CRAZY ASS AMERICAN and i can't wait to hear the new tracks. I'm sure it's gonna be awesome because "J" is a very talented musician and an excellent songwriter. I also have to mention "The Kidd". He is a 16 year old dude who can shred some guitar. I never thought i would be taught the guitar parts from a 16 year old but let me tell ya, he can play!! So KIDD thanks!!! So i am honored to be a part of this band and once again ALL HAIL MEAN VENUS!!!! See ya all soon!!!
